Northern Beaches Hospital, Sydney, NSW
In December 2014, one of Australia’s leading private healthcare operators, Healthscope, was contracted by the NSW Government (State) to deliver the new Northern Beaches Hospital in Frenchs Forest, Sydney.
The Envirosystems Solution
With key partners CPB Contractors and BVN Architecture, Healthscope will design, build and operate the new hospital. Clinical support and non-clinical support services will be delivered for public and private patients.
The hospital is the first to be built on a greenfield site in Sydney in 20 years and more than 700 jobs will be created during the construction phase.
The modern, nine-storey hospital will contain 488 beds, 1,400 car park spaces and a helipad. The total hospital project is valued at approximately $1 billion, including $400 million in road upgrades that the State will complete before the hospital opens in late 2018. (Source: Cimic)
Based on similar applications on high profile health projects around Australia, Envirosystems was selected to supply our Enviro Trafficable System to the Northern Beaches Hospital helipad.
The Enviro Trafficable System provides a hard wearing, UV stable, waterproof system with inherent slip resistance. It is capable of withstanding full vehicular traffic and is a unique solution to external waterproofing scenarios as it allows for a shortened construction period when compared to conventional membrane, screed and tile systems.
