Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth represented the largest single building project ever undertaken in Western Australia at the time of its development. This $2 billion state-of-the-art facility encompasses a 783-bed hospital, extensive teaching and research facilities, and a rehabilitation centre, unified within one cohesive green precinct. The scale and complexity of the project demanded waterproofing solutions capable of meeting stringent healthcare standards while supporting the facility’s environmental credentials.

Envirosystems products were selected for Fiona Stanley Hospital based on a proven track record in major healthcare projects including Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital and Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital. The specification incorporated EnviroPrime P2, Enviro 800 TC and Enviro Flex Pro, chosen specifically for their performance characteristics and environmental credentials aligned with the hospital’s green building objectives.

EnviroPrime P2 provided essential priming for substrate preparation, while additional Envirosystems products provided robust waterproofing protection throughout the facility. Enviro Flex Pro complemented these systems, providing high-performance elastomeric polyurethane joint sealing across the development.

Project Details

Northern Beaches Hospital is a modern, nine-storey healthcare facility in Frenchs Forest, Sydney, delivered in partnership with Healthscope, CPB Contractors, and BVN Architecture. The $1 billion program includes the hospital, 1,400 car park spaces, a helipad, and major surrounding road upgrades, expanding high-quality care for both public and private patients across Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

To meet the highest performance, safety, and delivery standards, the project focused on:
