    Enviro BSL is fully welded VLDPE basement liner system, purpose-built for high-risk below-grade structures where access is limited and performance must last. Designed for long-life waterproofing in basements, tunnels and other underground assets, it forms a continuous, watertight barrier engineered to resist water pressure, movement and aggressive ground conditions.

    Metro Station Box Lining

    Case Study – Metro Station Box Lining (Compartmentalised System)

    A major underground metro station box required a waterproofing solution capable of managing sustained groundwater pressure while allowing future maintainability. Given the scale and complexity of the structure, the design incorporated a fully compartmentalised waterproofing approach to localise risk and provide long-term remediation capability.

    BSL VLDPE Tunnel Lining Membrane was installed between the primary shotcrete lining and the secondary in-situ concrete wall, forming a continuous waterproofing barrier. The membrane was heat welded to create secure, watertight seams and detailed carefully around penetrations, kicker joints, and construction interfaces.

    To enhance long-term asset protection, the system was compartmentalised into defined zones using welded waterstops and separation strips. Each compartment was integrated with injection ports and hose link systems, strategically positioned along construction joints and critical interfaces. This design allows targeted resin injection should water ingress occur, enabling remediation within a specific zone without affecting the broader structure.

    By combining a high-performance VLDPE lining membrane with active injection capability, the project achieved both primary waterproofing integrity and a secondary, serviceable risk-management solution, ensuring durability, maintainability, and operational reliability in a critical transport environment.
